Health Minister Commences Official Visit to Indonesia to Strengthen Healthcare Cooperation Between Both Countries

Today, the Minister of Health, Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Ghlaigil, begins an official visit to the Republic of Indonesia to strengthen strategic cooperation in the health sector and explore partnership opportunities in support of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 health transformation program. The visit will focus on developing cooperation in medical tourism, medical staff development, enhancing health readiness for Hajj and Umrah seasons, exchanging experiences in digital health transformation, and exploring investment opportunities in the healthcare sector to improve service quality and sustainability.
During the visit, the Minister will meet with senior officials in the Indonesian health sector to discuss collaboration opportunities in developing digital health systems, enhancing primary healthcare services, and improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare facilities based on successful experiences of both countries. Additionally, he will conduct field visits to leading healthcare institutions in Indonesia to learn about best practices and exchange experiences in healthcare system development.
This visit is part of the Kingdom’s efforts to enhance its healthcare system through the Health Sector Transformation Program, a key initiative of Vision 2030 aimed at restructuring the healthcare sector for greater efficiency and sustainability, as well as enhancing international partnerships to improve healthcare according to the latest global standards. The Minister is accompanied by a delegation including health leaders from the Ministry of Health, the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, and the Saudi Health Company.
