Saudi King Approves Distribution of 1.2 Million Copies of the Quran and Its Interpretation in 45 Countries

King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has approved the distribution of 1.2 million copies of the Noble Qur’an and meanings of its verses in 79 languages to be distributed to Islamic and cultural centers, as well as the religious attaché offices in Saudi embassies abroad. This initiative, part of the “Gift from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques” program, is being carried out by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Da’wah and Guidance during the current Ramadan in 45 countries.

In response to this, the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Da’wah and Guidance, who also oversees the King Fahd Complex for the Printing of the Holy Qur’an, Sheikh Dr. Abdulatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh, expressed his gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their concern and care for Muslims in various countries. He praised the editions being distributed as among the finest in the world, highlighting the leadership’s commitment to spreading and translating the Qur’an to empower Muslims globally, especially during the auspicious month of Ramadan.

The minister acknowledged the continuous and immense support from the leadership in carrying out their duties and fulfilling the mission of serving Islam and Muslims, promoting values of tolerance and coexistence that reflect the true essence of the Islamic faith. He mentioned that the ministry has completed all preparations to ship the copies to the beneficiary countries in accordance with the adopted strategy for this year, in coordination with the religious attaché offices, Da’wah and Guidance centers under the ministry, as well as various Islamic organizations, to ensure distribution during this year’s Ramadan.
