Supreme Court to Convene Tomorrow, Saturday, for the Start of Ramadan

The Royal Court issued a statement today regarding the sighting of the moon for the holy month of Ramadan. The Supreme Court convened to review the testimonies of witnesses who claimed to have sighted the moon. Based on these testimonies, as well as the previous decision that Friday was the beginning of the month of Sha’ban, the Supreme Court has declared that tomorrow, Saturday, will mark the first day of Ramadan for this year.
The Supreme Court extended their congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince, and all citizens and residents on the arrival of this auspicious month. They prayed for the Muslims to be able to fast and pray with ease, and for their good deeds to be accepted. Additionally, they prayed for harmony among the people, the victory of Islam, and the continued safety, stability, and prosperity of the country.
The statement was signed by Ahmed Al-Muhiz, a member of the Supreme Court’s Crescent Committee.
