17,389 Violators Apprehended Across Various Regions of the Kingdom in One Week

During the period from February 20, 2025, to February 26, 2025, joint field campaigns to monitor and control violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations across all regions of the Kingdom resulted in the apprehension of 17,389 violators. The violators included 10,397 individuals in violation of residency regulations, 4,128 in violation of border security regulations, and 2,864 in violation of labor regulations.
Specifically, the outcomes of the campaigns can be summarized as follows:
– A total of 17,389 violators were apprehended during the joint security field campaigns throughout the Kingdom, consisting of 10,397 residency violators, 4,128 border security violators, and 2,864 labor violators.
– 1483 individuals were intercepted attempting to cross the Kingdom’s borders, with 41% Yemeni nationals, 56% Ethiopian nationals, and 3% of other nationalities. Additionally, 104 individuals were caught trying to exit the Kingdom unlawfully.
– 15 individuals were found involved in the transportation, harboring, and employment of violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations and providing them with shelter.
– Currently, 40,350 violators are undergoing enforcement procedures, comprising 35,845 men and 4,505 women.
– 31,463 violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, 3,709 were referred to complete their travel reservations, and 10,363 were deported.
The Ministry of Interior emphasized that anyone facilitating the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, transporting them within the country, providing them shelter, or offering any assistance or services in any form, exposes themselves to penalties of up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to one million Saudi riyals, confiscation of the means of transport and accommodation used for harboring them, in addition to public defamation.
It was further explained that this crime is considered a serious offense warranting immediate arrest, violating honor and trust, urging the public to report any violations by calling “911” in the regions of Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and “999” and “996” in other regions of the Kingdom.
