الزكاة تحث الملتزمين بأنظمتها الضريبية على استغلال فرصة إلغاء الغرامات

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority has urged all taxpayers subject to tax laws to take advantage of the “Cancellation of Fines and Exemption from Financial Penalties” initiative before it expires on June 30, 2025. This initiative includes waiving fines for late registration in all tax systems, late payment, late submission of returns in all tax systems, as well as correction fines for value-added tax returns, and fines for violations related to electronic invoicing regulations, and other general provisions for value-added tax.

To benefit from the initiative, taxpayers must be registered in the tax system, submit all required returns to the authority, fully settle the tax debt related to the due tax returns, and have the option to request installment payments, provided the application is submitted during the initiative period and all installments are paid according to the approved installment plan. It is important to note that the initiative does not apply to fines related to tax evasion violations or fines paid before the initiative period.

The Authority has advised taxpayers to refer to the simplified guide on the initiative available on its website, which explains the types of fines covered, conditions for exemption, steps for installment payments, as well as details of violations covered by the initiative with illustrative examples. Taxpayers are encouraged to take advantage of the initiative before it ends and reach out to the authority for any inquiries through their hotline, unified call center number (19993), available 24/7, their X platform account (@Zatca_Care), email (info@zatca.gov.sa), or live chats on the authority’s website.
