Medianah Receives Highest Rainfall in 24 Hours, 6 Regions Experience Scattered Showers

The daily report from the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture regarding rainfall amounts in all regions of the Kingdom revealed that “18” hydrological and climatic monitoring stations recorded scattered rainfall during the period from 9 AM on Monday, March 3rd to 9 AM on Tuesday, March 4th, 2025, in areas including Riyadh, Makkah, Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, Al-Qassim, Eastern Province, and Hail.
The report indicated that the Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah region recorded the highest rate of rainfall at “13.2” mm in Al-Qaha in the Badr governorate, while Umm Al-Barak in Wadi Al-Far recorded “4.0” mm, Al-Ula airport recorded “2.5” mm, Al-Mandasah in Al-Madinah recorded “2.2” mm, and Al-Ays Dam in Al-Ays recorded “0.6” mm.
Furthermore, the report noted rainfall amounts of “4.4” mm in Saja Wildlife Reserve in Afif in the Riyadh region, “2.0” mm at the Riyadh Aviation Academy, and “0.9” mm in Al-Tawqi in Ramah. In Makkah, rainfall amounts were recorded at “1.8” mm in Al-Ghareef in Kamel, and Al-Oqla in Rabigh, as well as “1.2” mm in Al-Barzah in Khulays and “0.6” mm in Wadi Al-Sabaan.
The report also mentioned that Hail recorded “1.7” mm at Hail Airport, while Al-Qassim Airport in Al-Qassim and Salwa in Al-Ahsa in the Eastern Province recorded “0.7” mm.
