Justice Minister Meets with Appellate Court Presidents, Emphasizes Their Critical Role in Ensuring Impartial and Procedural Oversight

The Minister of Justice, Dr. Walid bin Mohammed Al-Samaani, met with the honorable heads of the Court of Appeals in Riyadh today.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Minister expressed his gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their significant support to the judiciary sector. This support has contributed to its development in procedural and substantive aspects, including continuous legislative improvements such as the recent approval of the executive regulations of the Personal Status Law.
He highlighted the crucial role of the judiciary sector in realizing the rules correctly and emphasized the importance of cooperation between the technical office in the courts and the case preparation center to enhance the objectivity of judgments.
Furthermore, the Minister emphasized the need to enhance the quality of judgments issued by the Court of Appeals, ensuring that efforts are made to consider appeals thoroughly and provide solid legal grounds for appellate judgments.
He stressed the importance of adherence by the appellate courts to recent laws and the timely resolution of cases without compromising the quality of judgments. The Minister urged the heads of the Court of Appeals to ensure that the legal frameworks are appropriately applied, particularly recent legislation, to address cases within the targeted time frame while upholding the quality of decisions.
