Saudi Project to Provide Iftar Meals for Fasting Muslims in Sri Lanka in Full Swing

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, represented by the Religious Attaché at the Saudi Arabian Embassy in India, organized the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ program for iftar for fasting individuals at the Imam Abdul Aziz Bin Baz University in Malwana, Sri Lanka. More than 300 female students from various university categories participated in the program.

This year, over 4,200 beneficiaries in 12 cities and villages in Sri Lanka benefited from the iftar program during the holy month. Dr. Mohammed Azhar Mohammed Hanifa, the director of the Imam Abdul Aziz Bin Baz University for Girls in Sri Lanka, emphasized the importance of solidarity in strengthening the bonds within the Muslim community. He also highlighted the Kingdom’s leading role in serving Muslims globally through various programs.

Dr. Mohammed Amjad Razak, the Deputy Director of the Dar Al Tawheed Salafi Institute in Sri Lanka, affirmed the significance of the Kingdom’s noble initiatives such as distributing dates, providing iftar meals, and organizing Umrah programs. He explained that these efforts embody the lofty message of Islam, promoting love and compassion among Muslims worldwide.
