More than 14,000 Inspections Conducted by Zakat Authority on Commercial Establishments Across Various Regions in February 2025

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority revealed that its inspection teams conducted over 14,000 inspection visits during the month of February 2025 to markets and commercial establishments in various regions and cities of the Kingdom.
The Authority explained that the visits, which covered various commercial sectors including retail, tobacco, contracting, and used car spare parts markets, identified several violations. These violations included not including the quick response code in electronic invoices, lack of tax stamps, failure to issue electronic notifications, failure to issue electronic tax invoices, among others.
The purpose of these visits is to enhance compliance with the current tax regulations among taxpayers in the business sector, and to reduce any commercial transactions that violate the instructions and guidelines within the Authority’s jurisdiction. This is part of the supervisory efforts carried out by field inspection teams.
The Authority urged consumers to report any facility found to have tax violations through the website “zatca.gov.sa” or through the Authority’s smartphone application “ZATCA”. The Authority will provide incentives to individuals reporting tax violations, offering a reward of 2.5% of the value of the violations and fines, up to a maximum of one million Saudi Riyals, and a minimum of 1000 Saudi Riyals.
