Egypt’s Prime Minister, Mustafa Madbouly, and Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, President of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development, signed a cooperation protocol in Cairo today. The agreement aims to support the institutional capacity of the Early Childhood Development Center in the educational city of Egypt’s Sixth of October City. This center will serve as a main support hub for several kindergartens in the city.

The cooperation protocol was signed by Dr. Warsha Sharaf, the Secretary-General of the Education Development Fund in Egypt, and Dr. Hassan El-Belawi, the Secretary-General of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development. Prime Minister Madbouly emphasized Egypt’s utmost importance of providing high-quality education. He stated that the “Alpha Generation Kindergartens” project focuses on building the capacities of children and preparing them for primary education, with the goal of building an advanced and integrated society that starts with caring for children.

Prince Abdulaziz bin Talal highlighted the necessity of nurturing Arab generations in a healthy, educational, and psychological environment to prepare them for future challenges. He stressed the importance of starting with early childhood to build a stronger and more interconnected society for the future amid rapid global challenges. He expressed happiness in working towards elevating the Early Childhood Development Center in Egypt to become a distinguished regional and global center.

This collaboration acknowledges the need to invest in early childhood development as a real investment in the future and achieving sustainable development. It aims to enhance the significant role of the center established in 2003 through the initiative of the late Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the founding President of the Arab Gulf Program for Development “AGFUND.”

President of the Arab Council for Childhood and Development expressed gratitude to Egypt for its strong commitment to enhancing cooperation with development institutions to contribute to the rapid human development movement in Egypt. He also reiterated that AGFUND and its institutions will continue to support joint efforts in elevating the Arab society for the fourth consecutive decade.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Egyptian Minister of Education, Mohamed Abdel Latif, and the Executive Director of the Arab Gulf Program for Development, Dr. Nasser Al-Qahtani.
