Today, the National Center of Meteorology forecasted the possibility of thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rainfall, leading to flash floods. This is expected to be accompanied by hail showers and strong winds causing dust storms in parts of Najran, Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, Al-Madinah, Hail, Al-Qassim, Riyadh, and the northern parts of the Eastern Region. The report also mentioned that surface winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to northeasterly in the northern and central parts, and southwesterly to southeasterly in the southern part at a speed of 10-35 km/h, reaching over 40 km/h towards the Bab al-Mandab strait and the Gulf of Aqaba. Wave heights will range from half a meter to a meter and a half, reaching two meters towards the Bab al-Mandab strait and the Gulf of Aqaba. The sea state will be light to moderate. Meanwhile, surface winds over the Arabian Gulf will be northwesterly to northerly at a speed of 10-30 km/h, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to a meter. The sea state will be light.
