The National Center of Meteorology expects thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rain along with hail showers and strong winds causing dust and sand in Mecca, Al-Baha, Asir, Jazan, the eastern parts of the highlands of Al-Madinah, parts of Najran, Riyadh, Qassim, and the Eastern region.
The report indicates that the surface winds over the Red Sea will be easterly to northeast, shifting in the evening to north to northwest at a speed of 12-40 km/h in the north and central parts, southeast to southwest at a speed of 15-45 km/h in the south, reaching more than 45 km/h towards the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait. Wave height will range from half a meter to a meter and a half, reaching over two meters in the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait. Sea conditions will be light to moderate waves, with swells towards the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait.
On the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will be northwest to west at a speed of 12-35 km/h, increasing to over 50 km/h with the formation of thunderstorms, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to a meter and a half, reaching over two meters with the formation of thundery clouds. Sea conditions will be light to moderate waves with swells due to the formation of thundery clouds.
