Minister Al-Fadli Launches Billion-Riyal Financing Program to Empower Private Sector in Environmental Protection Efforts

Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Alfadhli, the Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture and the Chairman of the Environmental Fund, has launched a groundbreaking financing program in collaboration with the Riyadh Bank worth one billion riyals. The program aims to involve the private sector in environmental protection and promote eco-friendly practices. This initiative coincides with the unveiling of an electronic platform for incentive and grant programs by His Excellency, aimed at stimulating innovation and enhancing environmental investments.
The CEO of the Environmental Fund, Munir bin Fahd Al Sahli, explained that the financing program seeks to attract private sector investments in infrastructure, environmental services, and meteorology, while encouraging various developmental sectors to adopt eco-friendly practices through innovative financial solutions. Al Sahli emphasized that this partnership represents a positive step in funding environmental projects, as the platform will provide opportunities and incentives for outstanding projects, furthering national efforts in environmental protection and sustainable development.
