Minesweeping Mission in Yemen Removes 548 Explosives in One Week, Saving Lives

The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid, known as “Masam,” successfully cleared 548 mines from various regions in Yemen during the second week of March 2025. This included 25 anti-tank mines, 5 anti-personnel mines, 515 unexploded ordnance, and 3 explosive devices.

In Aden, the “Masam” team removed 515 unexploded ordnance, while in Marib, they managed to clear 5 anti-personnel mines, 25 anti-tank mines, and 3 explosive devices.

The total number of mines cleared in March so far has reached 1,606, with a total of 484,949 mines removed since the beginning of the “Masam” project. These mines were haphazardly planted across Yemen, endangering the lives of innocent civilians, including children, women, and the elderly, spreading fear among the population.
