Weather Update: Moderate to Heavy Rainfall and Strong Winds Expected in Various Regions of the Kingdom

The National Center of Meteorology has predicted thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rain, leading to flash floods, accompanied by hail showers and strong winds that may reduce visibility in Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions. On the other hand, the rain is expected to be light to moderate in Najran, Riyadh, Al-Madinah, Al-Qassim, Hail, and the Northern Borders, extending to the northern parts of the Eastern Region. Surface winds that may stir up dust and sand are expected in Al-Jawf and Tabuk regions. Wind direction over the Red Sea is forecasted to be northwesterly to northerly at speeds of 15-35 km/h in the northern and central parts, and southeasterly to southwesterly at speeds of 20-40 km/h in the southern part, with waves reaching heights of 1-2 meters. The sea state is expected to have moderate waves. Over the Arabian Gulf, surface winds are expected to be southwesterly to southeasterly at speeds of 15-30 km/h, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to 1.5 meters and the sea state being light to moderate.
