Border Guard and Anti-Drug Patrols in Jazan and Al-Baha Regions Thwart Smuggling of Various Narcotic Substances

Border patrols in the Circ sector of Jazan region thwarted an attempt to smuggle 252 kilograms of the drug plant khat. The necessary legal procedures were carried out, and the confiscated items were handed over to the relevant authorities. Likewise, the General Directorate for Drug Control arrested five citizens in the Bahah region for trafficking in the drugs hashish and methamphetamine. They have been detained, legal actions have been taken against them, and they have been referred to the public prosecutor.
Security agencies urge citizens and residents to report any information they may have about drug smuggling or trafficking activities. This can be done by calling “911” in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern region, and “999” in the rest of the Kingdom. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate for Drug Control at “995” or via email at “995@gdnc.gov.sa”. All reports will be treated with utmost confidentiality.
