Islamic Affairs Ministry Implements Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Programs to Distribute Dates and Iftar Meals to Fasting Individuals in Cambodia

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance executed the King Salman bin Abdulaziz’s program for distributing dates and providing Iftar meals to fasting individuals in Cambodia on the 25th of Ramadan 1446 AH. The distribution took place at the Sarkal Mosque in the capital, Phnom Penh, in the presence of the Saudi Ambassador to Cambodia, Muhammad Ismail Dihlawi, the Prime Minister’s Special Envoy Osman Hassan, and several Islamic officials. The quantity of dates distributed was 5 tons, benefiting approximately 22,000 individuals.
Ambassador Dihlawi emphasized that the implementation of King Salman’s programs to distribute dates and provide Iftar meals in Cambodia and globally is an extension of Saudi Arabia’s blessed and humanitarian efforts. These efforts demonstrate the Kingdom’s keenness and interest in connecting and strengthening relationships with Muslims worldwide, including Muslim communities in Cambodia, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. The aim is to enhance the bonds of brotherhood and love among Muslims.
Osman Hassan expressed his gratitude to King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their care for Muslims worldwide, particularly the Islamic community in Cambodia. This care is evident through the opportunities provided for Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages under the King’s Guests program, as well as the implementation of programs to distribute dates, provide Iftar meals, and other forms of assistance in various fields. He commended the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance for implementing this program in different countries worldwide.
It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance is carrying out King Salman’s program for distributing dates in 102 countries and providing Iftar meals in 61 countries around the world. These efforts are part of the Kingdom’s commitment to serving Islam and Muslims, identifying their needs, and deepening ties of brotherhood and love with them during the month of Ramadan, a time of goodness and giving.
