Over 133,000 lighting units replaced in the Prophet’s Mosque by the General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has completed the unification of the lighting colors in the Prophet’s Mosque and its facilities. They have replaced 133,459 LED lighting units, eliminating previous discrepancies in the lighting of the minarets, domes, and the surface of the Prophet’s Mosque.

The new lighting is designed to enhance the visual identity of the Prophet’s Mosque, highlighting its beauty and architectural details, improving the night scene aesthetic, and considering a color temperature of 4000 K to create a calming environment. This lighting provides a comfortable and safe visual environment for worshippers and visitors.

The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque engineers the lighting of the Prophet’s Mosque and its facilities using advanced smart systems that utilize LED technology. These systems allow for control over lighting distribution, intensity, and color temperature according to the needs, providing a flexible, peaceful, and safe lighting experience. The new lighting also helps reduce the attraction of locusts and insects.
