The General Directorate of Narcotics Control detained individuals from Ethiopian, Yemeni, and Palestinian nationalities in Jeddah for trafficking 6 kilograms of cannabis. They were arrested, legal actions were taken against them, and they were referred to the public prosecution. In a separate incident, a Saudi citizen in Hail was apprehended for distributing regulated medical tablets. Similar legal measures were taken against him, and he was sent to the public prosecution.
Authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information regarding drug trafficking activities by contacting “911” in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern region, and “999” in the rest of the kingdom.
