Vice President of Shura Council Meets with Italian-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Committee President and Mediterranean Parliament President

Dr. Meshal Al-Sulami, the Deputy Chairman of the Shura Council, met with the President of the Italian-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Committee, Marco Ausnato, and the President of the Mediterranean Parliament, Italian MP Giulio Centemero, and members of the Italian-Saudi Parliamentary Friendship Committee, on the sidelines of the 19th General Session of the Mediterranean Parliament held in Italy.

During the meeting, Dr. Al-Sulami highlighted the oversight and legislative role of the Shura Council, emphasizing the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening cooperation and supporting bilateral relations. Marco Ausnato also stressed the importance of enhancing relations and exchanging parliamentary visits between the Italian Parliament and the Shura Council.

The discussion also focused on ways to develop and strengthen the friendship and cooperation between the Kingdom and Italy in all areas, particularly in enhancing parliamentary work between the Shura Council and the Italian Parliament. Additionally, several topics of mutual interest were discussed.

The meeting was attended by Shura Council members Tariq Faqih, Dr. Fahad Al-Aqrani, and Dr. Lubna Al-Ajmi, as well as Italian Senator Cinzia Belligrino and several officials from the International Parliamentary Department of the Italian Parliament.
