Prince Abdullah bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, the Minister of the National Guard, conducted a visit to the ministry’s units in the eastern sector today. He was accompanied by Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf, the Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Deputy Minister of the National Guard, as well as the military head responsible, Brigadier General Saleh bin Abdulrahman Al Harbi.
Upon his arrival, Prince Abdullah was welcomed by Assistant Director General of the National Guard’s military sector in the Eastern Region, Brigadier General Mohammed bin Muhsin Al Subai, along with several unit commanders and leaders of various divisions.
During his visit, Prince Abdullah inspected the field readiness and inquired about the ongoing operations. He inaugurated several developmental projects and visited the Security Command Center to understand its functions and roles.
Subsequently, he proceeded to the military parade ground led by the Third Special Security Regiment, where the royal salute was performed upon his arrival. The ceremony commenced with a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a speech from the Assistant Director General, who warmly welcomed Prince Abdullah and praised his continuous support to the National Guard forces in the eastern sector.
Prince Abdullah also witnessed a military demonstration by the National Guard forces, featuring modern vehicles equipped with state-of-the-art military technologies, showcasing their preparedness to defend the nation against any threats.
At the end of the visit, Prince Abdullah received a commemorative gift before the royal salute bid him farewell with great hospitality and warmth.
Furthermore, Prince Abdullah’s tour included a visit to the Al-Ahsa Governorate, where he was welcomed by Prince Saud bin Talal bin Badr, the Governor of Al-Ahsa. Prince Abdullah then proceeded to the King Abdulaziz Mechanized Brigade Command in Al-Ahsa, inspecting the brigade’s readiness and preparations. He also awarded a group of injured individuals with the Medal of Honor in appreciation of their sacrifices for the nation, and conferred the Medal of Valor to a group of heroes for their courageous acts in the fields of pride and honor. The ceremony was attended by several unit commanders, department heads, and civilian and military leaders.
