King Salman Center for Relief launches five voluntary medical projects in Damascus.

The King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Aid launched five voluntary medical projects in Damascus, Syria yesterday. These projects included specialties such as pediatric and adult neurosurgery, orthopedic and joint surgery, pediatric surgery, and pediatric cardiac catheterization. The projects are part of the Saudi “Amal” voluntary program to assist Syrian brothers, with the participation of 50 volunteers from various medical specialties.

The volunteer medical team from the center has examined 83 individuals since the beginning of the campaign. They have successfully performed 4 neurosurgery operations for children and adults, 6 joint replacement surgeries, 5 pediatric surgeries, and 15 pediatric cardiac catheterizations. All procedures were successful, thanks to God.

The Saudi Amal voluntary program aims to carry out 104 campaigns in the medical and surgical fields, providing training, educational programs, and economic empowerment initiatives for those in need in several Syrian cities with the participation of over 3,000 volunteers.

This initiative is part of the voluntary medical projects system provided by the Kingdom through the King Salman Center for Relief, with the goal of improving the Syrian healthcare sector and enhancing its services.
