Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the special advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Shifa Health Endowment, a campaign for the Shifa Health Endowment Investment Fund was launched during the month of Ramadan. The campaign, titled “Reward Without Obligation,” aims to encourage individuals, organizations, and donors to give generously during the month of goodness by donating to the endowment fund, which focuses on providing medical treatment for the most needy patients who do not qualify for treatment in Mecca and Medina, as well as ensuring necessary healthcare for them.
The fund aims to provide medical consultation services to needy patients in Mecca and Medina, as well as addressing developmental and health needs in the region. This includes healthcare coverage, health awareness, establishment and development of healthcare institutions, as well as supporting projects and programs aimed at building a healthy and vibrant community. Donors can contribute to the most needy patients through various donation methods provided by the endowment on its website: www.alshefa.sa.
Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Hajjar, the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Shifa Health Endowment, stated, “We are in a country that encourages doing good deeds, and our wise leadership is a role model for giving in various charitable fields. Charity and humanitarian work are authentic Islamic values in our society. The generosity that we always witness from major donors and community members reinforces the values of solidarity and mutual support in our society. The contribution to the Shifa Health Endowment Fund achieves a diverse and sustainable impact for beneficiaries and their families, especially for the most needy categories among the guests of the Two Holy Mosques and their neighbors. It is worth noting that the Shifa Health Endowment Fund is a licensed health endowment from the General Authority of Endowments and is an investment endowment fund that allocates its returns to various health projects. It is supervised by the Capital Market Authority and managed by Al-Rajhi Financial. The fund is compliant with Islamic standards and approved by the Sharia Committee.
