Ministry of Islamic Affairs Implements King Salman’s Programs to Provide Iftar to Fasting Individuals and Distribute Dates and Qurans in Bangladesh

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, represented by the religious attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Bangladesh, launched programs on the second day of Ramadan in 1446 H. These programs include providing Iftar for fasting individuals, distributing dates and Quran copies among Muslims, and organizing prayer leadership during the holy month. This initiative is part of the Kingdom’s efforts to serve Islam and Muslims, meeting their spiritual and material needs during Ramadan.
The ceremony, held in the capital city of Dhaka, was attended by members of the Saudi diplomatic mission, as well as various scholars, sheikhs, preachers, and mosque imams. They expressed their gratitude to the Kingdom’s leadership for these quality initiatives, which demonstrate its commitment to supporting Muslims worldwide. They praised the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance for implementing these programs that strengthen the bonds of Islamic brotherhood and promote principles of giving and cooperation among Muslim nations.
The acting religious attaché, Mubarak bin Aamir Al-Anzi, explained that the Iftar program will be conducted daily, moving between cities and villages to benefit over 50,000 people. Additionally, around 5,000 needy families will receive dates as a gift from the Kingdom. These programs are being carried out under the supervision of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in more than 102 countries, with the Servant of the Two Holy Mosques’ Iftar program being implemented in 61 countries around the world for the year 1446 H. This highlights the Kingdom’s leading role in serving Islam and Muslims, providing assistance to Muslim communities globally.
