King Salman Center for Relief concludes 5 voluntary medical projects in Damascus.

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center recently concluded five voluntary medical projects in Damascus, Syria. These projects focused on various medical specialties including pediatric and adult neurosurgery, orthopedic surgery, pediatric surgery, and pediatric heart catheterization. The projects were part of the Saudi voluntary program “Amal” aimed at assisting the Syrian people, with 50 medical volunteers from different specialties participating.

The volunteer medical team successfully performed 14 neurosurgery operations for children and adults, 27 joint replacement surgeries, 38 pediatric surgeries, and 50 pediatric heart catheterizations during the campaign. It is worth mentioning that all these operations were successful, thanks to God.

The Saudi voluntary program “Amal” aims to carry out 104 campaigns in the medical and surgical fields, provide training and educational programs, and initiate economic empowerment initiatives for those in need in several Syrian cities, involving over 3,000 male and female volunteers.

This project is part of the support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the King Salman Center for Relief to the Syrian medical sector, with the goal of promoting a culture of volunteerism within the Saudi society.
