The royal approval has been issued to renew the membership of Dr. Mohammad Al-Qarni, a training committee member at the General Administration Institute, and Dr. Bandar Al-Mubarak, a faculty member at Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University. Additionally, Dr. Yazeed Al-Humaidan has been appointed as members of the National Center for Documents and Archives for a period of 3 years. The General Supervisor of the Center, Dr. Fahd Al-Samari, expressed his gratitude to the wise leadership for their continuous support to the center and its work.
This approval comes in accordance with the center’s system, which stipulates the formation of a committee chaired by the Royal Court Chief, including the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers, the Chairman of the Experts Authority at the Council of Ministers, the Secretary-General of King Abdulaziz Foundation, the General Supervisor of King Abdulaziz Public Library, the Director General of the National Center for Documents and Archives, the Secretary-General of King Fahd National Library, the Deputy Director-General of the Institute of Public Administration for Research and Information, as well as three experts in document and archive affairs from university faculty or others, selected by royal decree for a renewable term of 3 years, based on nomination by the Royal Court.
The committee’s duties include formulating the center’s public policy, monitoring its implementation, and proposing appropriate regulations, rules, and procedures to ensure the optimal implementation of the document and archive system. The committee also issues executive regulations for the document and archive system, approves plans, programs, and projects proposed by the center’s management.
