803 Requests for Chemical Fumigation Services Processed in February 2025

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Wealth is making efforts to support industrial investment and provide necessary services for its growth and the expansion of industrial facilities. In February 2025, the ministry processed 803 requests for chemical clearance services. The ministry’s spokesperson, Jirah Al-Jirah, explained that the processed requests included 774 requests for the clearance of unrestricted chemical material imports, 26 requests for restricted chemical material import permits, two requests for the clearance of unrestricted chemical material re-exports, and one request for a permit to import chemical weapons convention materials, totaling 1613 items.
Al-Jirah highlighted that the chemical clearance service enables industrial investors to apply for clearance permits or import/export permits for chemical materials used in industrial facilities through the “Sanayi” platform. The service aims to ensure the issuance of chemical material clearances for industrial facilities in a convenient and timely manner, facilitating investors’ entry of materials through ports.
The ministry’s spokesperson stressed the importance of the chemical clearance service in enhancing industrial output by developing and facilitating mechanisms for obtaining clearances for chemical materials used in production and improving them within the digital service platform for the industrial sector. This enhances the provision of digital services that support industrial investors.
