The National Center of Meteorology predicted in its weather report for today that there will be moderate to heavy thunderstorms, leading to flash floods accompanied by hail showers and strong dusty winds in parts of Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern region. Meanwhile, the rain is expected to be light to moderate in parts of Al-Madinah, Qassim, and Hail regions, with possible fog formation in some areas of those regions, as well as in parts of Al-Jawf and the Northern Borders region.
The report also mentioned that the surface winds over the Red Sea will be northwesterly to north at a speed of 15-30 km/h in the northern and central parts, and southwesterly to southeasterly at a speed of 10-20 km/h in the southern part. The wave height will range from half a meter to one and a half meters, with light to moderate wave conditions. On the other hand, the surface winds over the Arabian Gulf will be northwesterly to north at a speed of 15-35 km/h, reaching over 50 km/h during rainy thunderstorms. The wave height will range from half a meter to one and a half meters, and may exceed two meters during rainy thunderstorms, with light to moderate wave conditions escalating to rough waves during rainy thunderstorms.
