Commencing gradual cessation of additional services as deadline for subscribers expires, ahead of disconnecting unverified electricity meters.

The Saudi Electricity Company has announced the implementation of measures related to the non-verification of electricity meters after the expiration of the deadline for subscribers to complete the verification process.
These measures include gradually stopping some additional services leading to service disconnection, while continuing to notify non-verified subscribers of the importance of updating their information to ensure they can benefit from all company services without any future obstacles.
The company emphasized that meter verification aims to link the service to the actual beneficiary, whether they are owners or tenants, to enhance data accuracy and ensure the delivery of electrical services more flexibly and transparently.
Additionally, this process helps improve the subscriber’s experience by enabling them to easily manage their account, monitor consumption, and receive updates on bills and other services directly.
The company clarified that the actual beneficiary is the person who directly uses the electricity service. The main categories include the beneficiary owner who resides in the property themselves, the non-beneficiary owner who rents the property to other tenants, and the tenant who lives in the property and directly uses electricity.
The verification process contributes to safeguarding the rights of all parties, reducing any confusion related to bills or financial responsibilities between owners and tenants.
The company urged subscribers who have not completed the verification process to promptly update their information through available channels. The verification process is accessible via the electricity application, the website: www.se.com.sa, as well as by visiting subscriber service offices or contacting the customer service center at 933 for necessary assistance.
To facilitate meter status checking, the company explained that subscribers can verify their account number. An account number starting with 100 indicates that the meter is not verified and requires completion of procedures, while a number starting with 300 means the meter is verified and does not need any updates.
The company emphasized that verification aims not only to update subscriber information but also to protect consumer rights, reduce potential disputes over bills, and provide customized services that cater to the actual beneficiaries’ needs.
Furthermore, the company stated it is continuing to implement its plan to improve service quality and enhance operational efficiency, urging all non-verified subscribers to complete verification as soon as possible to avoid any future actions that may impact their service benefits.
