Over 25,000 Violators Apprehended Across Kingdom in One Week

A total of 25,150 violators of residency, work, and border security regulations were apprehended during joint field campaigns conducted across all regions of the Kingdom for the period from March 13 to 19, 2025.

Specifically, the campaign results revealed the following:

Firstly, a total of 25,150 violators were apprehended, with 17,886 violating residency regulations, 4,247 violating border security regulations, and 3,017 violating work regulations.
Secondly, 1,553 individuals were intercepted while attempting to cross the Kingdom’s borders, with 28% of them being Yemeni, 69% Ethiopian, and 3% other nationalities. Additionally, 63 individuals were apprehended for attempting to cross the borders out of the Kingdom illegally.
Thirdly, 36 individuals were arrested for transporting, sheltering, and employing violators of residency, work, and border security regulations, as well as aiding and abetting them.
Fourthly, a total of 38,061 violators, including 35,795 men and 2,266 women, are currently undergoing the process of implementing regulations.
Fifthly, 30,528 violators were referred to their diplomatic missions to obtain travel documents, 2,420 were referred to complete their travel reservations, and 12,008 were deported.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized that anyone facilitating the entry of border security violators into the Kingdom, transporting them within the country, providing shelter, or any form of assistance, may face penalties of up to 15 years in prison, a fine of up to one million riyals, confiscation of the means of transportation and accommodation used for sheltering, as well as public disgrace. It was also clarified that this crime is considered a serious offense warranting arrest, violating honor and trust, and encouraging the reporting of any violations by calling 911 in Mecca, Riyadh, and the Eastern region, and 999 or 996 in the rest of the Kingdom.
