Over 4 Million Worshipers and Pilgrims Gather at the Grand Mosque on the 29th Night of Ramadan

Statistics released by the General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques indicated that the Grand Mosque saw a significant crowd of worshippers and pilgrims on the night of the 29th, the night of Quranic completion, exceeding four million people.

The data revealed that the total number of visitors to the ancient house yesterday reached 4,117,669 individuals, with the number of worshippers totaling 3,471,205 individuals and pilgrims reaching 646,464 individuals.

The Authority also highlighted that a total of 28,202 individuals benefited from the use of carts, while 135,670 individuals benefited from location guidance. Additionally, there were 13,260 workers present, and a distribution of 42,000 Zamzam water bottles, 702,488 Iftar meals for fasting individuals, and the removal of 270 tons of waste.

It is worth noting that the General Authority for the Care of the Two Holy Mosques utilizes advanced technology, including reader sensors, to monitor the numbers of worshippers and pilgrims from the visitors to the ancient house at the main entrances of the Grand Mosque. This initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency by monitoring flows and crowds, and improve management effectively in collaboration with relevant authorities.
