Food and Drug Authority participates in Awareness Center meetings for Hajj guests to enhance readiness for the pilgrimage season

The General Authority of Food and Drug Administration participated in communication meetings organized by the Guests of the Most Merciful Awareness Center at the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah over the course of three days to enhance preparedness for the Hajj season. The Authority’s officials delivered a series of workshops targeting Hajj and Umrah companies as well as Hajj affairs offices. The workshops were attended by over 500 representatives and officials from these entities.
The workshops covered various informative topics related to the regulations associated with bringing personal medications and restricted drugs. They also discussed opportunities for enhancing performance and services, in addition to highlighting key updates in regulations and requirements to improve the quality of services provided to the guests of the Most Merciful.
The workshops emphasized the importance of compliance with health and organizational regulations to achieve integration with the efforts of other relevant parties. Through these meetings, the Authority aims to raise awareness among those working in Hajj by focusing on real challenges and providing practical solutions supported by real-life examples.
Furthermore, the goal is to ensure the provision of outstanding and safe services to pilgrims and Umrah performers, as well as to enhance effective partnerships in line with the directives of the wise leadership in serving the guests of the Most Merciful and achieving the highest levels of safety and quality.
