Islamic Affairs Department Hosts Iftar Meals for 9600 Fasting Individuals in Ethiopia

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, represented by the religious attaché at the embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Ethiopia, organized iftars in the blessed month of Ramadan for the year 1446 AH. These iftars were part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ program to break the fast for fasting individuals. More than 9600 beneficiaries were served during the first half of the blessed month of Ramadan.

The iftars took place in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, at the Ryan Mosque affiliated with the Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs for the Addis Ababa region, and the Salah al-Din Mosque affiliated with the Afar Regional Council in the city of Semara.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs implements the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ program to feed fasting individuals in 61 countries around the world. This reflects the Kingdom’s leading role in serving Islam and Muslims, as well as promoting the values of brotherhood and solidarity during the blessed month of Ramadan.
