Rainfall in Riyadh region breaks records in the past 24 hours

The Riyadh region recorded the highest amount of rainfall in the Kingdom with 31.0 mm in Asheela in Wadi Al Dawasir province, among 8 regions that experienced varying amounts of rain. Other regions also saw significant rainfall, with Ar Razeefah in Ar Rine recording 21.9 mm, Shaqra with 21.0 mm, As Suhbah in Al-Kharj with 18.8 mm, King Khalid Airport in Riyadh with 16.1 mm, and Al Wa’ul Wildlife Reserve in Hawtat Bani Tamim with 14.6 mm.

This information was detailed in the daily report from the Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture regarding rainfall amounts across all regions of the Kingdom. In the past 24 hours, 83 hydrological and climatic monitoring stations recorded rain in Riyadh, Makkah, the Eastern Province, Asir, Tabuk, Jazan, Najran, and Al-Baha.

The report also noted that the Eastern Province recorded 7.3 mm at Dammam Airport, 6.4 mm at the Jubail Naval Base, 4.9 mm in Urayyarah in Al-Ahsa, 4.0 mm in Haradh in Al-Ahsa, and 3.9 mm in both Dammam and Al-Ahsa Airport. Asir saw 6.6 mm in Balhmar in Abha, 5.1 mm at Abha Airport, 4.0 mm in Balasmar in Abha, and 1.8 mm in Al-Asran in Sarat Abidah.

The report also mentioned that Al-Baha recorded 3.0 mm in Al Jowah in Al Mukhwah, 1.2 mm in Baljurashi, 0.8 mm in the city of Al-Baha, and 0.6 mm in Bani Hassan in Al Mandik. Najran saw 1.8 mm in Khabash and 0.5 mm in Al Khalidiyah in Bida.

In Makkah, Al Marqaban in Adham recorded 1.4 mm, and Bani Saad in Musayyan recorded 1.0 mm. Jazan saw 1.2 mm in Al Qura’ah in Al Aridah, 1.0 mm at Jazan Airport, and 0.8 mm at the Naval Aviation in Jazan. Tabuk recorded 0.8 mm in Daisah in Duba.
