Officials foil 1320 attempts to smuggle contraband through all Kingdom borders in one week

The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority in Saudi Arabia has revealed that they have registered 1320 cases of smuggling at the Kingdom’s border, whether by land, sea, or air. This is part of their ongoing efforts to enhance security and protect society from banned goods of all kinds.
Among the confiscated items were 60 types of drugs such as marijuana, cocaine, heroin, ecstasy pills, and others, as well as 1075 prohibited substances. Additionally, there were 1774 types of tobacco and its derivatives, along with 34 categories of financial amounts.
The Authority emphasized that they are committed to tightening customs control on the Kingdom’s imports and exports to ensure the security and protection of society. This is achieved through continuous cooperation and coordination with all relevant parties.
At the same time, the Authority called on everyone to contribute to combating smuggling in order to protect society and the national economy. They can do so by contacting the designated number for security reports “1910”, or through email at “Email:1910@zatca.gov.sa”, or the international number “009661910”. Through these channels, the Authority receives reports related to smuggling crimes and violations of the Unified Customs Law in complete confidentiality, offering a financial reward to the informant if the information in the report is accurate.
