Thunderstorms forecasted to hit most areas until next Monday.
The General Directorate of Civil Defense has issued a warning for the public to take precautions and remain in safe places and stay away from areas prone to flash floods and valleys to avoid swimming in them. People are advised to adhere to the instructions announced through various media outlets and social media platforms due to the expected thunderstorms across most regions of the kingdom until next Monday.
The region of Mecca will be affected by moderate to heavy rain leading to the flow of flash floods, hail, gusty winds causing dust and sand storms, impacting Al Muwayh, Turubah, Al Kharj, Ranya, Taif, Maysan, Adham, Ad Dalam, and Al Ardhiyat. Meanwhile, Riyadh will experience moderate to heavy rainfall resulting in flash floods, hail, gusty winds causing dust and sand storms, affecting the capital city, Ad Diriyah, Dirma, Huraymila, Rumah, Marat, Al Mazahim, Ad Dalam, Al Hariq, Hotat Bani Tamim, Ar Rayn, Al Kharj, Afif, Ad Dawadmi, Al Quwayiah, Shaqra, Al Ghat, Az Zulfi, Al Majma’ah, and light to moderate rain in Al Aflaj and Wadi Al Dawasir.
Furthermore, the regions of Jazan, Asir, Al Baha, Al Madinah, Hail, Qassim, Eastern Province, Najran, and the Northern Borders will experience moderate to heavy rainfall.
