The Environmental Special Forces apprehended two individuals who violated the environmental regulations by entering a protected area without permission. The incident took place in the Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Sanctuary. The individuals were subjected to the necessary legal procedures and referred to the appropriate authorities. The penalty for entering protected areas without a permit is a fine of 5,000 Saudi riyals. The authorities have encouraged reporting any incidents that pose a threat to the environment or wildlife by calling 911 in the regions of Mecca, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 999 and 996 in other areas of the Kingdom.
