King Salman’s Relief Agency Distributes Food Aid in Albania, Ghana, Syria, Kosovo, Guinea, and Yemen

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre distributed 400 food baskets to the most needy families in the Elbasan province of Albania, benefiting 2,000 individuals as part of the Ramadan Food Basket project in Albania for the year 1446 AH. It is worth mentioning that the “Food Basket” project in its fourth phase aims to distribute 390,109 food baskets in 27 countries during the month of Ramadan, benefiting 2,304,104 individuals at a cost exceeding 67,064,000 riyals.

Additionally, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre distributed 825 food baskets in the Old Tafo Komasi area of Ghana, benefiting 4,950 individuals as part of the Ramadan Food Basket project in Ghana for the year 1446 AH. In Syria, 300 food baskets were distributed in the city of Al Kiswah in the Rif Dimashq Governorate, benefiting 1,200 individuals from 300 families as part of the relief materials distribution project in Syria.

Furthermore, the centre distributed 1,150 food baskets in the cities of Kline, Pia, Dicjan, and Yakova in Kosovo, benefiting 5,750 individuals from 1,150 families as part of the Ramadan Food Basket project for the year 1446 AH in collaboration with the Islamic Community in Kosovo. In Guinea, 500 food baskets were distributed in Conakry, benefiting 4,686 individuals from 500 of the most needy families as part of the Ramadan Food Basket project in Guinea for the year 1446 AH.

The project aims to distribute 7,500 food baskets containing essential food items to the most needy families during the blessed month of Ramadan in Guinea. The distribution of dates project was launched in the Al Mahrah Governorate, with the first phase including the distribution of 3,125 cartons of dates in the Ghaydah directorate, and continuing to reach 8,814 cartons benefiting 8,814 families, as part of the total distribution of 625,000 cartons of dates distributed across various Yemeni provinces.

These efforts are part of the humanitarian and relief efforts undertaken by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm (King Salman Humanitarian Aid Centre) to assist needy and affected groups around the world and alleviate their suffering.
