Drug trafficking operations thwarted in Al-Baha and Jeddah as anti-narcotics efforts intensify.

The General Directorate for Narcotics Control arrested five Saudi nationals in the Al-Baha region for trafficking marijuana and methamphetamines. They have been detained and legal actions have been taken against them, with their case being referred to the public prosecutor. Additionally, a Pakistani resident in Jeddah was also apprehended for selling the drug methamphetamine, known as “Shabu.” He too has been detained, and legal actions are being pursued, with his case being sent to the public prosecutor.

Authorities are urging citizens and residents to report any information they may have regarding drug trafficking activities. This can be done by contacting “911” in Mecca, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, or “999” in the rest of the Kingdom. Reports can also be made to the General Directorate for Narcotics Control at “995” or via email at 995@gdnc.gov.sa. All reports will be handled with utmost confidentiality.
