Border guards in Jazan and Asir regions foil smuggling of 616.4 kilograms of hashish and qat

Border patrols in the Al-Tawal sector in Jazan region have foiled an attempt to smuggle 51.4 kilograms of drugs. The confiscated drugs were handed over to the appropriate authorities after the necessary procedures were completed.
Additionally, in the Al-Rubuah sector in Asir region, border patrols arrested two Ethiopian nationals for attempting to smuggle 25 kilograms of khat. The individuals were processed according to the law and the seized drugs were handed over to the authorities.
Moreover, border patrols in the Al-Rubuah sector in Asir region also prevented the smuggling of 540 kilograms of khat. The necessary procedures were followed, and the confiscated drugs were handed over to the relevant authorities.
Authorities urge citizens and residents to report any information regarding drug smuggling or trafficking activities. This can be done by calling “911” in Makkah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and “999” in other regions of the Kingdom.
