Industry Ministry Conducts 963 Inspection Visits to Industrial Facilities Across Various Regions in January 2025

The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, represented by the General Administration of Branches, revealed that its supervisory team “963” conducted field visits to industrial facilities in several regions of the Kingdom during the month of January. This is part of the ministry’s periodic rounds to monitor factories, assess their readiness, and ensure compliance with quality standards and necessary regulations.

According to the ministry’s official spokesman, Dr. Jarrah Al-Jarrah, the field visits carried out last month included 282 visits to factories in the Eastern region, 215 visits in the Riyadh region, 195 visits in the Makkah region, as well as 85 visits in the Qassim region, 63 visits in the Asir region, 28 visits in the Al-Madinah region, 19 visits in the Al-Jawf region, and 17 visits in the Hail region. Additionally, 16 visits were conducted in the Al-Baha region, 15 visits in the Tabuk region, 12 visits to factories in the Najran region, 10 visits in the Northern Borders region, and 6 visits in the Jazan region.

Al-Jarrah emphasized that the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources is committed to continuing its field visits to ensure that industrial facilities adhere to the necessary standards and regulations. This includes monitoring the compliance of national factories in providing high-quality products, meeting approved standards and specifications, verifying product safety, and rectifying the conditions of factories located outside industrial cities.

It should be noted that the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources requires any industrial facility to obtain a safety license issued by the Civil Defense, as well as provide safety measures according to the nature of the activity. This includes ensuring the availability of emergency exits, a firefighting system, and safe storage of raw materials and products.
