Saudi and Chinese Companies Join Forces in Workshop with 200 Participants

A Saudi-Chinese Entrepreneurship Workshop was held today in Riyadh, attended by HE Assistant Minister of Investment and CEO of the Saudi Investment Promotion Authority, Ibrahim bin Yusuf Al-Mubarak, and the participating President of the China Association for Entrepreneurship, Jean-Pierre Raffarin, along with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom, Li Huwa, and representatives from government entities from both countries, as well as 130 Saudi companies and 70 Chinese companies. The workshop aimed to strengthen economic and investment relations, discuss cooperation opportunities in various areas of mutual interest, and achieve desired aspirations based on the role of the Ministry of Investment in developing relations. It also emphasized the importance of the Saudi business sector in enhancing international investment companies between the two countries.
The workshop highlighted Vision 2030 of the Kingdom and its mega projects, while enhancing cooperation in the healthcare sector and pharmaceutical industries. Furthermore, discussions focused on industrial progress in the Kingdom, exploring new opportunities for Saudi Arabia, China, and Europe in smart cities and sustainable development.
It is worth noting that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People’s Republic of China have strong historical relations that have evolved significantly, especially in the economic and commercial fields. The Kingdom is considered China’s top trading partner in the Middle East, and in turn, China is the Kingdom’s leading trading partner.
