Ministry of Islamic Affairs launches King Salman’s programs for distributing dates and iftar meals to fasting individuals in the Maldives

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the religious attaché at the Kingdom’s Embassy in the Republic of Maldives, hosted an event at the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in the Maldives on the second day of Ramadan 1446 AH to mark the implementation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for distributing dates. The event was attended by the Deputy Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Maldives, Fahad Al-Dossary, and His Excellency the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Shahim Ali. Another event was also held at the Islamic Center in the Republic of Maldives to carry out the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for providing Iftar meals to fasting individuals in the Maldives. The event was attended by the Deputy Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in the Maldives. A total of 10 tons of dates were distributed to 40,000 beneficiaries as part of the program, and approximately 4,500 individuals benefited from the Iftar program during the blessed month of Ramadan.

The Minister of Islamic Affairs in the Republic of Maldives expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Kingdom for their keen interest in the affairs of Muslims and for serving the Two Holy Mosques. He also thanked the Ministry of Islamic Affairs for implementing these programs. It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance will implement the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for distributing dates in 102 countries during this year’s Ramadan, as well as the program for providing Iftar meals to fasting individuals in 61 countries around the world. These efforts align with the ministry’s goals of fulfilling the wise leadership’s directives in serving Islam and Muslims.
