Call for Compliance with Guidelines on Zamzam Water at the Grand Mosque by the Presidency of the Two Holy Mosques

The General Authority for the Care of the Holy Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque urged visitors to the Holy Mosque to follow the educational guidelines when using the facilities designated for drinking Zamzam water during the Ramadan season. There are facilities available with equipped water dispensers in addition to 20,000 Zamzam water containers to meet the needs of pilgrims and worshippers. It is essential to discard plastic cups after use in these designated areas and not to open the Zamzam water containers.

The Authority highlighted the availability of well-equipped facilities distributed in a way that ensures easy access from various parts of the Holy Mosque to serve visitors. These include the King Fahd Expansion’s prayer areas located on the roof, which can be accessed through electric stairs and elevators in the expansion building, the prayer areas in the Sa’y area located on the roof to serve worshippers near Marwah and Safa, the prayer areas in the eastern courtyard including restrooms with ablution facilities, the prayer areas in the western courtyard with restrooms opposite the Makkah Construction and Development Company and others near the King Abdulaziz Endowment Towers, as well as prayer areas in restrooms between the Makkah Company and Dar Al Tawhid, and prayer areas in the northern courtyards.

The Authority emphasized the importance of using the designated ablution facilities and preserving Zamzam water for drinking only. This reflects awareness and concern for the cleanliness of the Holy Mosque through collaboration among everyone, contributing to creating an environment that facilitates worship with peace and humility.
