Approval from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for Fifth Edition of National Charity Campaign on “Ehsan” Platform issued

Approval has been granted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, for the launch of the fifth edition of the National Charity Campaign through the “Ehsan” national platform, starting from the evening of Friday, March 7, 2025, corresponding to Ramadan 7, 1446 AH. This approval aims to continue the generous support for charitable work and maximize its impact, coinciding with the increased charitable activities during the holy month of Ramadan, and will continue until the end of this blessed month.

The “Ehsan” charity campaign embodies the great care and interest of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, in charitable work. It provides an opportunity for all members of society to contribute to charity and social solidarity during a month where rewards and blessings multiply.

On this occasion, Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, Chairman of the Supervisory Committee of the “Ehsan” platform, expressed gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammad for their continuous support of the platform since its establishment in 2021. Their support has motivated people of goodwill and donors to participate in supporting deserving groups through the platform’s trusted mechanisms.

He affirmed that the fifth edition of the National Charity Campaign builds on the success of previous campaigns, which witnessed a significant turnout and wide community engagement. The total donations in the fourth edition exceeded 1.8 billion riyals through more than 15 million donation transactions, reflecting the Kingdom’s leading position in charitable work and sustainable development. The third edition saw donations exceeding 760 million riyals, while the first two editions raised over 750 million and over 800 million riyals respectively, embodying the values of generosity and community solidarity.

The “Ehsan” platform accepts contributions from donors in various charitable and developmental fields, including the “Ehsan Endowment Fund,” through trusted digital channels that operate with high governance standards, ensuring precise, transparent, and secure donation processes. Donors can contribute through the platform’s application, its website “Ehsan.sa,” or the toll-free number 8001247000.

It is worth mentioning that the Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) was tasked with establishing the “Ehsan” platform by royal decree. The platform is supervised by a committee of 13 government entities and operates with strong governance to empower the digital charitable sector and enhance transparency, thus improving the efficiency of donations for the benefit of recipients.

The total donations received by the “Ehsan” platform since its inception have exceeded 9 billion riyals, benefiting more than 4.8 million individuals in various humanitarian and developmental fields.
