Ministry of Islamic Affairs hosts event in Thailand to implement programs of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, represented by the Office of the Islamic Adviser at the Saudi Embassy in Thailand, held an official event to implement King Salman’s programs for Iftar, distributing dates, handing out Qurans, and sending imams. The event took place on the fifth day of Ramadan 1446 AH in Bangkok, with the presence of Saudi Ambassador Abdulrahman Al-Sahibani, Thai Parliament President Mohammed Nur Maata, officials, Arab and Islamic ambassadors, as well as heads of Islamic councils and associations in Thailand.

Maata praised Saudi Arabia’s significant role in supporting Muslims and the efforts of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in carrying out charitable programs worldwide, especially during the holy month of Ramadan. He highlighted the popularity of the premium dates gift program among Thai Muslims, emphasizing the Kingdom’s humanitarian role and commitment to serving Muslims globally. Sheikh Aron Bun Shum, Thailand’s Islamic leader, expressed gratitude towards Saudi Arabia’s leadership, government, and people for the blessed programs, particularly the Iftar and dates gift programs supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs for the year 1446 AH.

Ambassador Al-Sahibani emphasized that these programs reflect Saudi Arabia’s interest and commitment to supporting Muslims in Thailand through quality projects that benefit Islamic communities. He noted that these initiatives are carried out in coordination with relevant authorities and distributed to central councils, charitable associations, and mosques. The ambassador also highlighted the Kingdom’s leadership efforts in caring for Islam and Muslims, as well as the significant role played by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in delivering these programs to Muslims worldwide.
