The National Center of Meteorology predicted thunderstorms with moderate to heavy rain, leading to flash floods accompanied by hail showers and strong winds stirring up dust and sand in parts of Riyadh and the Eastern region today. Meanwhile, lighter to moderate rain is expected in Najran, Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, Tabuk, Al-Jouf, and the Northern Borders, with a chance of fog formation in those areas.
The report indicated that surface winds in the Red Sea are northwesterly to northerly at a speed of 18-40 km/h, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one and a half meters in the northern and central parts, and from one meter to two meters in the southern part. The sea condition is expected to be light to moderate waves. On the Arabian Gulf, surface winds are expected to be southeasterly to northeasterly at a speed of 20-40 km/h, reaching over 60 km/h during the formation of rainy thunderclouds. Wave heights are forecasted to be between one and two meters, reaching higher than two meters during the formation of rainy thunderclouds, with sea conditions ranging from light to moderate waves, potentially becoming rough with the formation of rainy thunderclouds.
