The National Center of Meteorology in its weather report today predicted thunderstorms accompanied by hail showers and strong winds in parts of Riyadh, the Eastern Province, Northern Borders, Al-Jouf, Tabuk, Makkah, Al-Baha, Asir, Jazan, and Najran, with a chance of fog formation in some areas of these regions.
The report indicated that surface winds on the Red Sea will be northwesterly to northerly at a speed of 16-36 km/h, with wave heights ranging from half a meter to one and a half meters. The sea condition is expected to be light to moderate waves. On the Arabian Gulf, surface winds will be westerly to northwesterly at a speed of 10-25 km/h in the northern and central parts, and northeast to northwesterly at a speed of 12-35 km/h, reaching over 60 km/h, with the formation of thunderstorms and rain clouds in the southern part. Wave heights will range from half a meter to one meter in the northern and central parts, and from one meter to one and a half meters, reaching over two meters with the formation of thunderstorms and rain clouds in the southern part. The sea condition will be light waves in the northern and central parts, becoming moderate waves with swells in the southern part.
