Border Guard patrols in Asir and Jazan foil smuggling of 304 kilograms of narcotic qat plants and 134,000 illicitly traded pills

Border patrols in the Ruba’a sector in the Asir region have apprehended seven Ethiopian nationals for smuggling 196 kilograms of khat. The necessary legal procedures were conducted against them, and they were handed over along with the seized items to the competent authorities.
Additionally, border patrols in the Da’ir sector in the Jazan region thwarted the smuggling of 108 kilograms of narcotics khat. Preliminary legal procedures were completed, and the seized items were handed over to the relevant authorities.
Furthermore, border patrols in the Da’ir sector in Jazan arrested an Ethiopian national for smuggling 134,000 tablets subject to medical trade regulations. Initial legal procedures were carried out against him, and he, along with the confiscated items, were handed over to the appropriate authorities.
