Ministry of Islamic Affairs Holds Official Ceremony to Implement Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program in Malaysia

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance recently hosted an official event to celebrate the implementation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Iftar in Malaysia. The program involves distributing dates and Holy Quran copies at the Saudi Arabian Embassy’s religious attaché in Malaysia. The event was attended by the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Malaysia, Assistant Slim, and the Deputy Mufti of Selangor, Dr. Mezairi bin Setris.

It is anticipated that over eight thousand fasting individuals in Malaysia will benefit from the Iftar program, with five tons of premium dates set to benefit about twenty thousand people in various cities and Islamic centers. Ambassador Slim emphasized that the program aims to provide Iftar and distribute premium dates across various regions of Malaysia, including mosques, universities, and Islamic centers. This initiative demonstrates the leadership’s commitment to serving Muslims and strengthening cooperation with Islamic nations.

Additionally, Malaysia’s Minister of Religious Affairs, Datuk Seri Dr. Mohd Naim bin Mokhtar, commended the Kingdom for its charitable and advocacy programs. He praised the Ministry of Islamic Affairs for providing Iftar meals and distributing dates, highlighting how these efforts promote moderation, enhance solidarity among Muslims, and strengthen the bilateral relationship between Saudi Arabia and Malaysia. Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs in Malaysia, Datuk Dr. Sarajuddin bin Sahimi, also underscored the positive impact of the Iftar program on Muslims in Malaysia. He expressed gratitude for receiving translated versions of the meanings of the Quran and the premium dates from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, which will be distributed to various Islamic institutions in the country.

Naif Al-Fa’im, the Acting Head of the Saudi Embassy’s Religious Attaché in Malaysia, explained that this program aligns with the Kingdom’s commitment to serving Islam and Muslims under the continuous supervision of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs. He emphasized how the initiative reinforces Saudi Arabia’s message of promoting moderation and supporting Islamic communities worldwide.

To conclude the event, premium dates and Holy Quran copies were delivered to several Islamic centers, associations, and mosques in Malaysia as part of ongoing efforts to serve Muslims and promote Islamic values within Malaysian society. This ceremony further highlighted the importance of fostering strong ties between countries through religious and humanitarian initiatives.
